Prep & Use

To prep, cut off the stalks and bottom of the bulb.
Remove outer layer (as though you would remove the outer layer of an onion). Gently pull apart the individual stalks. To keep the bulbs fresh, place in cold water with some lemon juice and refrigerate until using.

Anise can be enjoyed fresh!  Serve chilled with dip as a snack or appetizer.

Care & Handling

Select anise with bright green stalks and fronds, and avoid purchasing bulbs with shriveled-looking greenery. Always wash fresh produce before consuming.
