Katie Harreld

Katie is a life-long Salinas, CA resident. She began working in the produce industry as an intern in a major shipper’s sales office over three summers while attending college at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. After graduating with a degree in Ag Business she worked as a coordinator at another Salinas shipper for one year and moved into sales her third year there. When Ippolito International opened its sales department in 2005, she was one of the first employees. Now the sales manager, Katie also is the commodity manager for Brussels sprouts. The fast pace of the industry and the relationships that are developed with customers, growers and co-workers are what Katie loves about her role at Ippolito. She also enjoys the ever-changing nature of the business, while supplying the world with important nutrition everyone needs.

A die-hard San Francisco Giants fan, Katie also enjoys hiking, fishing and outdoor sports with her husband, son and daughter.
